Edtech Russia-2015 – The Monetisation of Online Education

A consortium of organisations is preparing a report on "The participation of Russian-speaking scientists in the development of scientific cooperation: experience, problems and prospects". The purpose of the report is to identify existing barriers to effective international science & technology cooperation with Russian-speaking scientists living outside Russia, to develop practical recommendations on possible forms of cooperation and to submit them to the relevant ministries and agencies of Russia, the scientific foundations, so that new initiatives and projects with the participation of Russian-speaking scientists can be developed.
The report is going to be presented at an interagency meeting with representatives of relevant government organisations of the Russian Federation in May 2015. More details can be found here

The Russian Minister’s interview by the Nature journal: The Russian Minister of Education and Science, Dmitry Livanov, says that Russia's current troubles should have limited impact on its international research collaborations.

Job and project opportunities

The Russian Science Foundation’s invitation for international scientific experts
The Russian Science Foundation is creating a pool of international experts in a wide range of scientific disciplines for assessment of scientific project proposals for grant awards. The assessment is organised remotely using RSF Information System, and the experts are anticipated to provide their services on a pro bono basis.
The time allocated to the assessment of each application is 2 weeks. The number of grant competitions anticipated this year is 3-4, starting from mid-March 2015. More details, as well as information about how to apply is available here.
